What To Do When You Feel Stuck in Life

What To Do When You Feel Stuck in Life

April 17, 20224 min read

Hi, friends!

Have you ever felt like your life just wasn’t going the way you wanted it to, almost like you are stuck?

Let me tell you, I definitely have! But the best way to prevent that from happening is with consistency. When you feel stuck in life, the trick is to find that consistency because your brain will automatically start to say, “yes, we can do it!” We want to generate these habits that will pull us through our tough times. If you have ever wondered what to do when you feel stuck in life, these consistent habits are going to be key to getting out of that funk!

But if you are already feeling stuck, don’t worry! There is definitely a way to reset and get back to the life you want! People will ask me all the time, “how do you do all that you do? And when you’re feeling stuck, how do you get out of it?”

And let me tell you, I have two key things that I use every time I feel stuck, out of alignment, or just have that feeling that something isn’t right… and they are a statement, then a question

The Statement

When you are wondering what to do when you feel stuck in life, the first thing I want you to do is to say this to yourself:

“There’s gotta be a better way.”

There was a time when I had to take a lot of medication, and they tried to kick me out of the military. While it’s easy to take that and spin it and tell yourself that there is no other way to deal with the problem, doing that will just keep you stuck.

In my situation, I told myself, “there has got to be another way,” and then I found it. I opened my mind up to the different possibilities. I researched, I read, I asked questions, I challenged my doctors. I took action in order to change the script of my story and stop feeling stuck in life.

When you say that statement, it will help you get out of tough situations rather than staying stuck in your life, in victim mode and a negative spiral.

The Question

After you say that statement, I want you to ask yourself, “What can I do right now with what I’ve got?”

If you are constantly wondering what to do when you feel stuck in life, this question can help you refocus on what is actually important! I can honestly say that this question has gotten me as far as I am today. I am still growing and I ask myself this almost daily.

You have been through hard things, and you aren’t giving yourself credit for how far you have come! It is easy to give in to shiny object syndrome and try to find all the things you don’t have… but you have so much worth right in front of you!

What is in your tool kit right now? Who is in your network? How can you take one step forward today?

Even just small movements can lead to huge results. Just take it one day and one step at a time! And if you want help making those small movements, I am here to support and guide you! My Vision Board Workshop is so helpful at giving you the tools you need to set goals to help get out of those negative spirals when you feel stuck in life.
